Dr. Seuss Family Fun Night is Friday, March 6TH from 6:00PM-8:00PM Following the success of our carnival-themed Family Fun Night this fall, we are happy to announce that we will be having our second Family Fun Night to coincide with our Dr. Seuss Week celebrations this March. The event will run from 6:00PM-8:00PM and all students, staff, and families are invited to join in on the fun, games, and food!
Based on input we received at past PAB Meetings, we will also use Dr. Seuss Family Fun Night as a way for parents to give and receive parenting tips and advice. In the weeks leading up to March 6TH, there will be a "Question Suggestion Box" at the front desk where parents can write down a question or discussion topic that they would like to have answered by fellow parents. On Dr. Seuss Family Fun night, those questions will be displayed on poster boards around the school for parents to write in their suggestions and ideas.
Tonight, Tuesday, February 10TH is our next Parent Advisory Board Meeting and the main topic of discussion will be Dr. Seuss Family Fun Night! Please come out to learn more about the event and to give your input so that we can make this event even better than our last one! February's Cooking Class all about fondue! With the help of their teachers, our students made white chocolate-covered marshmallows and pretzels by dipping them in melted chocolate! Some of our classes used food coloring to make the chocolate pink and red and decorated them with red sprinkles for a festive Valentine's Day treat!
Today Room 6 celebrated the 100TH day of Kindergarten! February 3RD is the 100th day of Kindergarten! Our students in Room 6 celebrated today by doing all kinds of "100" related activities. Some highlights included writing out a human "100", doing 100 exercises, linking 100 chains, and creating things with 100 popsicle sticks, legos, shapes, or cups. Ms. Jenn H.'s Pre-K class was invited to join in on the fun and work on their fine motor and counting skills. Our Kindergarteners were most excited to share their 100TH Day Projects. Each student made a project, with the help of their family, using 100 of the item of their choice. Projects this year included everything from pennies to candy to lady bugs! Check out more photos from the 100TH Day of Kindergarten. Be sure to check back later in week as more photos are added!
Also, don't forget to stop by and check out all of the hard work our students did on their 100 Projects, which are currently on display in our lobby. February Calendar:
